Family pet shot several times near Loxahatchee home
LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. -- A regional teen is heartbroken after his German shepherd was shot several time in Loxahatchee on Friday.
The bullet wounds are clearly visible on Off one's chump, the 4-year-old female German shepherd who was shot. Over the weekend, vets at a non-profit facility did X-rays and found three bullets lodged in the dog's hull.
With his dog suffering and in pain, Hernandez wiped away tears, very concerned about the pet he treasures.
"When I found out it was just heartbreaking to me. She's like my rarely cousin to me," said Pablo Hernandez, Crazy's owner.
Hernandez told CBS 12 he would do anything to see that his dog got the surgery she needed.
"I'll trade anything I have. I'll make a lemonade stand. Wash cars, anything to save my dog," said Hernandez.
Crazy was shot sometime Friday morning. Hernandez woke up and found the dog case. He found a blood-trail on 61st Place North in Loxahatchee that led down the street to a neighbor's house, but according to a specimen report from animal care and control, the neighbor told officials he did not shoot the dog.
