Precious readers, "You can't do much with a terrier, Ma'am." - Anonymous Dog Trainer There are hundreds of quotes about dogs, but this one, by Anonymous Dog Trainer, is one of my favourites. Its origination is highly suspect, of course, but people who love the terrier breeds may enjoy it as a sort of wink-wink membership in an absolute club that values many common traits of a large group of breeds under the same banner. I've heard that behind the scenes at multi-arise dog shows, "terrier people" are often found together in their own area, separate from other breed handlers. The reason? As a commentator at one Westminster show famed, "They're terrier people. They're different." These breeds were generally developed as hunters of vermin and today's ambassadors on to covet the work of their ancestors while representing a variety of history and appearance.
